Our Story
Welcome to Hummingbird Home & Co.!
Inspired by my love for colorful and eclectic entertaining, Hummingbird Home & Company was born. I find joy in sourcing and curating unique products made from all over the world that can be passed down for generations.
Why the name Hummingbird? I’ve always been inspired by beautiful gardens and the life they bring. Spending time in my own garden brings me close to the vibrant colors, patterns and smells of this unique world. Each experience brings a sense of calm, serenity and on many occasions, a hummingbird.
After working for over 15 years in the fashion industry, I pivoted into the digital home space. As a lifelong interior design enthusiast, this move felt like home. With many years under my belt working alongside distinguished brands like James Perse and Veronica Beard, I felt a strong entrepreneurial pull to follow my own vision and start a business. I took some time off to realign my career and personal values while caring at home for our infant son. Shortly after, we found out I was pregnant with our second son. At the time I thought, well, this is either the worst or the best time to do this, and with the loving support of my husband, I was all in!
Juggling a business and caring for our two young sons at home (Parker 2, and Theodore 7 months) alone from my garage had its challenging moments! I’m inspired everyday and motivated by our wonderful customers and fellow women entrepreneurs that walk this journey alongside me. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to share my passion with you all. It’s my hope these unique pieces from Hummingbird Home & Co. bring a sense of celebration, style and color to everyday living.
